All staff who work with the children have professional portfolios on the premises where all their certificates and evidence of their qualifications are held.

We aim that all core staff will attend at least 4 professional training days per year organised through North Yorkshire Children and Young People’s Service, Sure Start and other relevant organisations.

Rachael Russell

I am a mum of 3 and grandma to 1. I am very passionate about the preschool as 2 of my 3 children attended. Even I attended here over 40 years ago. Our preschool has been at the heart of our community for over 50 years and as a member of the committee I am securing its future for another 50 years!

The Treasurer

Debra Blackburn

The Treasurer - I have looked after the preschool's accounts as Treasurer since November 2021. I am a qualified bookkeeper and am proud to support our local preschool community and I have learned lots of new skills. It is a pleasure to work with great people at the preschool.

The Secretary - I am a mum of 2 wonderful children who both attended Northstead Community Pre-school. I joined the lovely pre-school committee in November 2023 and have so far loved my time there working alongside a fantastic team behind the scenes.

Did you know our preschool is a registered charity managed by a voluntary committee? We cannot operate without our wonderful team of volunteers, and we are looking for new members to join us!

We meet just once a term for a relaxed catch-up. There are no stuffy boardroom vibes here—just a friendly group of parents chatting over tea, coffee, and plenty of cake or biscuits
